Here’s some easy and fun Sunday FunDay Ideas for this Spring.

Spring is finally here! After weeks of snow, sleet, and hail, Spring is here where it is supposed to be. Anyhow, finally the weather is wonderful so here’s some quick and easy ways to have fun on your Sunday FunDay!..Even though the weather this winter was relatively mild, many of us have stayed indoors as mild as it is, its been fairly unpredictable. Hopefully the coming weekend will bring us some more sunshine, but if not here’s some quick and easy ideas for Sunday Funday even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

  1.  Sports and Science!- Nothing beats a Sunday Funday checking out a real U Boat for WWII, a real Airplane, AND Lego’s! Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry is not only a bargain, but has several free days; http://www.msichicago.org/visit/ticket-prices/free-days-and-discounts/  afterwards grab a fantastic bite and check out all Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, or Blackhawks on all the big screens at Scout 1301 S. Wabash Chicago, IL
  2. Domes and the Dutch! For those of you north of the Bear/Packer border, or fearless enough to venture to Milwaukee, you have to check out the Milwaukee County Park Systems Conservatory known more commonly as The Domes. Experience a Jungle, Desert, and other Flora. Open after May 1st. http://county.milwaukee.gov/MitchellParkConserva10116.htm after exploring make sure to grab a bite and take a trip thru lowland Europe at the Café Benelux 346 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, WI, the Frite’s and sauces alone are worth it, but try the pannenkoeken for real Dutch treat!
  3. Chicago’s North Shore! Among the many treasures on Chicago’s North Shore, there’s one that we’ve driven by hundreds of times and hardly ever notice-its the Chicago Botanical Gardens, located in Glencoe right at the Lake Cook Road and 41 exit ( 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022) The Garden is free to all, but there is a charge for parking $25 per car weekdays and $30 per car weekends and federal holidays. http://www.chicagobotanic.org/visit  After you take in all the blooms, pop into one of my favorite dinner spots the Grille on Laurel 181 E. Laurel Ave. Lake Forest, IL From their Patio and the live music in the lounge on the weekends, to their great menu a fantastic way to wrap up your north shore Sunday Funday!
